Record breaking winter in 2016-2017w record snow in Eastern OR. Retreated to an urban garden in the basement and stayed grounded by growing veg & fruit w fingers in the dirt under 75 deg F. Wrote a tune about it that folks have been enjoying during my live performances, so Surebert and I recorded it.
lyrics
Welcome to my Shangri La , where i
Stay King Arthur, in Camelot
Round table with a paneled top, just
Figurative- me, a man and my crops
Abandon thoughts, I'm a catapult ya
Beyond concepts of cannaculture. This
Beautiful thing put many mans in Fulsom
Blues chased away in high pressure sodium
Photosynthetic in the vegetation
Oso's prophetic from the meditation
Don't go forgetting- no stress, just patience
Drop the measurements, go low maintenance
Both phases, growth and flowering
So empowering, refining the hours. Swing a
Whole life cycle, from start to the end
Another batch of seedlings, embark again
In my indo garden, chilly in the winter
Plants all around so we dance to the sound as the
Winds blow, ac, hit us in the face. We
Waving in the basement, stay in there's a ragin
Blizzard outside, O a wizard with with the indoor
All sortsa lettuces and herbs what you're in for [in for]
-All a spin, floor mylar spiral
Caught up in the flypaper hanging from the side wall [side wall]
Basil leaves shaped like paisley
Unzip the panels since the windows got hazy. Need to
Inspect for pests, wanna coddle, gotta baby these
Won't helicopter father or approach it lazily
Amazes me, daily wave of splay n reach
Stay i'll teach you major reasons why to keep pervasive seasons
Summer & spring persistent. Thumb with a green/purplish tint
Gotta be consistent, keep em dry, never misted
My clever system, call it attentiveness
Got one that's better? Different set-up? -i'm not offended
Often off center when calendar hits equinox
Vernal. autumnal- keep your cold, i need it hot
Eternal sun, so i bask in the halide glow
Just turn it on, i'm back with my hallowed soul
A cornichon, little pickle, wanna stick around, but
Plants need sleep, so I bounce, power flickers down
In my indo garden, chilly in the winter
Plants all around so we dance to the sound as the
Winds blow, ac, hit us in the face. We
Waving in the basement, stay in there's a ragin
Blizzard outside, O a wizard with with the indoor
All sortsa lettuces and herbs what you're in for [in for]
-All a spin, floor mylar spiral
Caught up in the flypaper hanging from the side wall [side wall]
caught up in the flypaper hanging from the side wall [side wall]

A recovering scientist, Oso Negro dedicated his present to hip-hop +. He can't relate to much now-a-days, so he's decided
to make music of his life and time. "Breachin' kids thoughts, but aiming at the minds of men, finding them fighting tidal strength." With a twist of reggae & a splash of crooning, Oso mixes it up, keeping it fun & stimulating...more
